MenuMuseum
Its early begginings
The Menu Museum online archive was originally conceived by two academics with collections of restaurant menus that they felt were under-utilised. Dr Ioannis S. Pantelidis and Ken Woodward were at the time working with Peter Odgers on the HotPot project which was also engaging in a series of public engagement activities and events. Without the seed funding from the European Cross-border Cooperation Programme INTERREG IV A France (Channel) – England, and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) this project would have never been possible. Thanks must also go to our colleague Mercedita Hoare who painstakingly scanned and archived the original collection of menus.
The team is grateful to Trigger Solutions who supported the project not only with their expertise but also actively sponsoring the project. We would also like to thank the Savoy Educational Trust who sponsored us with one year of funding towards the maintenance fees for the site.
We are currently seeking funding to continue to provide this resource to everyone for free. If you wish to sponsor the server hosting and maintenance costs for this website we would love to hear from you.
